This was an amazing place, customer service was incredible, the food was great, clean, amazing quality. I came with my two babies and they both devour the eggs. The avocado toast was to die for and the pastry was also incredible. The ambiance, made feel as if I was back in Paris, classy, open, clean and just beautiful.

I have seen this place lots of times, but I never tried. Well, this was the day. I walked inside, and there were a couple of individuals lined up at the register. I wasn't sure if I was to order first and then sit down, as the folks behind the counter didn't greet me at all, nor said anything to me. I waited until they ordered their items from a pastry case full of baked goods. I saw other people grab a menu and sit down, so I did the same and went to a very nice, clean, and relaxing patio. A server walked by me a few times and didn't say anything, but finally, after a bit, she came over and greeted, asking if I wanted anything to drink. I ordered a cappuccino.

I received my drink, and the server then took my order. I chose to go with their California Benedict, which included avocado and tomatoes versus ham. I chose to get a salad instead of breakfast potatoes. The menu said fruit came with the dish, but there was no fruit when my food arrived. The benedict was great. The hollandaise sauce was house made, and the food was tasty.

The food here is great, and the ambiance is truly relaxing with classic jazz playing in the background, creating a relaxing environment. The only disappointment is that the service lacked a bit with attentiveness to the customer. They were very polite when serving you and not rude at all, just very slow and failed to acknowledge when someone walks in, which is a little bit of a turn-off. Lastly, the food here was great, but the portion versus price was lacking.

L'atelier de Paris in Carlsbad is wonderful in every respect and I am so happy I found this amazing café. From the relaxing ambiance, to the scrumptious sweets, delectable meals, and last but not least, the lovely staff, I would highly recommend L'atelier de Paris. During my extended stay in Carlsbad, this has been my go-to place for breakfast, lunch & dinner. I have had a wide variety of items and everything has been absolutely delicious. Also, the coffee is the best I've had since my.honeymoon in Costa Rica 10 years ago! I have been able to RELAX (emphasized b/c that does not come easily for me) & enjoy the enchanting atmosphere. Since I have dined here so many times (at least 15 times in 3 weeks) I have gotten to know many of the servers including Merhdo, Naz, Grace, Kenzo & Corina. Each and every person is warm, welcoming, amicable and responsive to patrons wants and needs. I would highly recommend experiencing it for yourself…you won't be disappointed. Those of you lucky people who live nearby, I'm confident you will be regulars…. bon appétit!

While in the San Diego area, after an early dinner we chose this amazing spot to quench our sweet tooth. Came across this place while searching for a dessert spot near us, the reviews and peaked our interest. When we arrived we were greeted by one of the owners. The lady was very welcoming, but gave us a bit of bad news when she informed us that the pastries that drew us in where no longer available as the baker was no longer working at the location. She showed us what was available and since we were there we stayed and made our choices. Not only was everything delicious she took the time to brew some fresh coffee for us to enjoy with our pastries. Absolutely fantastic customer service and appreciated her honesty regarding the available selections.

One of the few cute & delicious mom and pop restaurants on this side of Carlsbad… oh was so grateful to have stumbled upon this place and stopped in for the most delicious unique pastry day 1, and after looking at the menu back the very next day with a friend to experience some delicious food and the boutique atmosphere. Love the kind servers and owners, the premium taste of the food - we enjoyed the French take on the burger and healthy salads. Oh - and the French Onion Soup is perfection!
Priced much better than the hotel restaurant where I was staying too. It was fun to ride our bikes here and share a variety of things.
Thank you for giving a much better option for eating than the corporate mainstream ho-hun places that you can eat at anywhere.

I've been going to Latelier for a while now and I love the atmosphere that is provided. The outdoor area is relaxing and the live music on Saturdays that they have recently started doing feels intimate and relaxing. Stepping into the restaurant I feel drawn away to a small cafe in France. There is usually ample seating and the staff is kind and attentive. I recommend to anyone who tries this place to give their pastries a go. 🙂
